Overview
Project summary: Appearing as “DJ BBQ” at several events throughout the year, Christian Stevenson wanted a mobile sound system and mobile food outlet that could accommodate a fully equipped DJ booth, sound system and pyrotechnic display.
GORILLA role summary: Gorilla designed and built a custom foodtruck and soundsystem into a Renault Master Chassis Cab, to DJ BBQ’s specification.
GORILLA role detail:
- Detailed design and layout of kitchen, sound system and DJ booth in rear box.
- Complete fabrication of rear box on to Renault chassis cab
- Installation of kitchen and ventilation system
- Installation of DJ equipment
- Speakers mounted on motors
- Pyrotechnic vehicle exhausts fitted to the side of the vehicle
Timescales involved:16 weeks
Result / Outcome: Renault / Fusion / DJ BBQ were delighted with the finished vehicle (see – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRU3IPINDHg) and the vehicle made its début at the Commercial Vehicle Show, followed by the Renault Summer Barbecue, and then on to Grillstock, Jimmy’s Sausage Festival, the Big Grill in Ireland & Big Feastival.
